Job Description
NOTICE OF VACANCYSCHOOL YEAR 2026-27School Psychologist RESPONSIBILITIESConduct and interpret formal and informal assessments of students, including, but not limited to diagnostic psychological, educational, transition, functional behavioral assessments and observations for initial eligibility, reevaluations, manifestation determination and other meetings as determined by the Special Services Coordinator.Write diagnostic psychological, educational, transition, functional behavioral assessments, positive behavior support plans and results of observations and provide recommendations for consideration at initial eligibility, reevaluations, manifestation determination and other meetings as assigned by the Special Services Coordinator or Principal.Coordinate with other service providers in order to efficiently complete all initial and reevaluation assessment batteries in a timely manner to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, guidelines, and regulations are met to ensure compliance.Work collaboratively with parents, school staff and other related service providers in identifying, documenting, and assisting to meet the educational, vocational and social / emotional needs of students.Collaborate with outside community based service providers and make referrals to these agencies as appropriate.Provide individual and group counseling for students according to the service delivery outlined in the IEP.Attend and participate in team meetings to report findings and assist in making recommendations for student services and IEP implementation.Serve on intervention teams including, but not limited to Crisis Intervention Teams.Provide consultation and technical assistance to school staff concerning mental health, behavioral and educational issues.Provide clinical services to students that address social and emotional needs, crisis management, with appropriate communication with school staff, parents, and other community based medical providers.
