High School Assistant Principal-ELA Credential

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the general supervision of the high school principal, the Assistant Principal supports the administration of a comprehensive senior high school program. Responsibilities include administering delegated functions that may include developing the master schedule, supervising and evaluating curriculum and instructional programs, coordinating and overseeing student activities, and assisting in the development and management of the school budget.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Possession of a valid California Clear Single Subject English or Math Teaching Credential

2. Possession of a valid California administrative services credential

3. Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, preferably in secondary education, administration, or a closely related field.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience as an assistant principal or district-level administrator is highly desirable

2. Experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership

3. Three years of successful full-time certificated service in a public school are required.
