School Social Worker

Brielle School District is seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and collaborative School Social Worker to join our Child Study Team (CST). This is a tenure-track position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive social history evaluations as part of the initial and re-evaluation process to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Serve as the Case Manager for a roster of students with disabilities, overseeing the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
• Offer immediate support and assessment during student crises and coordinate with outside mental health agencies when necessary.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop behavioral intervention plans and promote a positive school climate.
• Act as a resource for families, connecting them with community services, medical providers, and financial assistance programs.
• Serve as HIB anti bullying specialist & district homeless liaison.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid New Jersey Certificate as a School Social Worker, endorsement code: 3200
• Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.
• Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: Brielle Education Association Salary Guide: $60,234.00 - $89,729.00. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Single health benefits for the first 3 years, (eligible for family benefits after 3rd year) paid sick days, family illness days, personal days, bereavement days, and participation in the TPAF pension system. (Teachers Pension & Annuity Fund).
