NOTE: This position can be filled as an Assistant Registrar I or II depending on applicant qualifications.
This role supports the Associate Registrar for Curricular Operations in managing the university's centralized academic scheduling. The Assistant Registrar for Academic Scheduling is responsible for coordinating the schedule creation with departmental and college schedulers while providing training and operational support. This role is responsible for term set-up, scheduling of courses, and supports WSU's Dual Enrollment scheduling. This position coordinates semester schedule roll in collaboration with IT and publishes the final exam schedule. The Assistant Registrar for Academic Scheduling manages campus, building, and room information in the student information system. This role manages system maintenance and testing for assigned areas and cross-trains on other Academic Operations business processes. The Assistant Registrar for Academic Scheduling serves on committees at the division and institutional level and completes special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- One-year full time higher education employment in registrar services, admissions, financial aid, student services, enrollment services, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- Two or more years full time experience specifically in academic scheduling, catalog/curriculum, registration, or other related Registrar processes
- Experience working with student information systems, (such as Ellucian Banner)
- Excellent self-management, organization, and attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
