School Psychologist/School Adjustment Counselor - Social-Emotional High School Program

The social-emotional program clinician will coordinate and implement services for students in the social-emotional program, a substantially separate special education program for students who require social, emotional, or behavioral support.Essential functions include (but are not limited to):- individual, group, and crisis counseling services- consultation with staff regarding behavior support and de-escalation strategies- collaboration with school-based team members, families, and outside providers- writing IEP goals, implementing ongoing services, and collecting progress monitoring data- ongoing programmatic management and support- completing functional behavioral assessments, counseling assessments, and crisis assessments- developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and safety plans- supporting students with executive function needs- supporting students with transition planning for post high school needsQualifications Required:Education: Master's degree in Social Work, School Psychology, Counseling, or related fieldExperience: Experience working with students who exhibit significant social, emotional and behavioral challenges. Experience providing individual, group, and crisis counseling services. Experience working with students with disabilities at the secondary level. Other: Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure as a School Psychologist or School Adjustment CounselorQualifications Preferred:Education: CAGS or higher degree in Social Work, School Psychology, Counseling, or related fieldExperience: Experience providing consultation/professional development to staff on behavior support and de-escalation strategies. Experience writing IEP goals and monitoring progress. Experience supporting program management.Other: Familiarity with best practices for de-escalation in a school settingKnowledge of best practices in trauma-informed careStrong organizational and interpersonal skills
