This position is based onsite, allowing you to work closely with students and staff in a supportive and dynamic school environment. Utilize your expertise in pediatric physical therapy to assess, plan, and implement interventions that foster students' physical development and participation in educational activities. Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to enhance learning outcomes and independence for children with diverse abilities. Key Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist. Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred. Strong understanding of IEPs, special education laws, and best practices in pediatric PT. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills. Capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive care. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver physical therapy services directly to students as outlined in IEPs. Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school and special education policies. Consult with educators and families to ensure supportive environments and carryover of recommended strategies. Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions. Support students in building mobility, strength, coordination, and access to curricular activities.
