Key Qualifications: Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals related to physical therapy Ability to perform assessments and design treatment plans to address functional mobility, motor development, and access to educational environments Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability within varied school settings Core Responsibilities: Screen, evaluate, and assess students to determine physical therapy needs Develop and implement individualized interventions that foster functional independence in the school environment Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services within classrooms, playgrounds, and other school settings Document and track student progress in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team Educate school staff and families on strategies for supporting students' mobility and participation Stay current with best practices and actively participate in ongoing professional development Experience a contract role that lets you build genuine connections with students and staff while enhancing the learning experience of each child.
