The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing intervention and therapy regarding students' fine and gross motor skills and functional abilities (e.g., perceptual-motor, hand functions, motor coordination, sensory development, muscle strength, etc.) under the direction of the Occupational Therapist. This position will work primarily to assist current staff in direct service for students across the supervisory union. They will be required to attend and provide feedback at SPED meetings, IEP review/annual meetings, in-services, and parent/team meetings. The COTA will be required to: document all treatment sessions, provide consult services on students receiving both direct and indirect OT support services, and document Medicaid billing after each session to be turned in monthly to the Medicaid biller. COTA will be required to offer observational insight and input for treatment and re-evaluation plans, updated objectives and goal suggestions, and will actively participate in the discharge planning process.This position falls in the collective bargaining unit for Support Staff. Full benefits, including paid time off, are a part of the contracted agreement for the position.

Reliable transportation is required to report to multiple sites with the Supervisory Union. Approved mileage will be reimbursed. A full background check is required for employment, which will be separate from a background check needed for state COTA licensing. Attendance at the New Staff Orientation on August 19, 2026 is also required.
