As an Occupional Therapist , you will provide direct therapy to students in Grades K-12 with special needs including but not limited to development, implemention and maintenance of designed instructional programs, conducting regular assessments, and developing or adjusting individualized educion plan (IEP) goals as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Implementing student-specific occupional therapy services as outlined in each Individualized Educion Program (IEP), including adherence to frequency, durion, and service locion requirements.
  • Completing comprehensive assessment reports within ste- and district-manded timelines to support da-driven educional planning.
  • Communicing evaluion results and individualized therapy recommendions to families, educional staff, students (as approprie), and reled agencies, with approprie consent from the students legal guardian.
  • Planning and developing targeted therapeutic goals th are educionally relevant and seamlessly integred into each students academic program.
  • Conducting ongoing reassessments and modifying therapy objectives based on evolving student needs and progress toward educional outcomes.
  • Monitoring the fidelity of therapy implemention and collaboring with and training educors, paraprofessionals, and other support staff involved in occupional therapy interventions.
  • Documenting student progress through timely and accure reporting in alignment with district standards and program guidelines.
  • Participing in IEP meetings to share da-informed insights, progress updes, and goal recommendions to support individualized planning.
  • Creing a supportive, safe, and developmentally approprie learning environment tailored to each students sensory, physical, and cognitive needs.
  • Evaluing progress toward therapy goals and determining when students are ready to transition from or discontinue occupional therapy services.
  • Faciliting professional development sessions and in-service trainings to enhance the capacity of occupional therapy staff and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Participing in training school personnel on the effective use of assistive technology and adaptive equipment, while maintaining proper documention of use and outcomes.
  • Attending and actively engaging in all required team meetings, trainings, and professional collaborion forums.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned, contributing positively to the overall success of the student services team.

Qualificions Required:

  • Master's degree or higher in occupional therapy or a closely reled field of study.
  • Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a ste occupional therapy (OT) credential.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certificion in company approved crisis management training.
  • Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in providing occupional therapy services, preferably in an alternive, special educion and/or behavioral health program setting.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in special educion services and compliance, particularly for students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders and/or other reled disabilities.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in working with students with individualized educion plans (IEP's).
  • Proven success in developing and implementing effective trement plans for students with diverse needs.
  • Proficiency in providing motivion and having critical conversions with students th help move them toward realistic goals.
  • Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to effectively present informion and respond to questions from groups of staff members, students, parents and the public.
  • Advanced oral and written communicion, organizion, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
  • Well-versed in the use of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, dabase entry and basic office equipment.
