School Speech Therapist

This contract role is conveniently located near Saint Joseph, MO, and offers the flexibility of a part-time schedule. You'll work across three sites, engaging with students aged 3 to 18 with a mixed caseloadprimarily mild to moderate needssupporting a diverse range of speech and language development. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Certified Speech Language Pathologist (CCC or CFY) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with appropriate state licensure School-based SLP or SLPA experience preferred; open to professionals from healthcare backgrounds Experience with teletherapy is a plus Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside educators and families Comfortable working with students across a spectrum of abilities, from preschool to high school Role Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals Assess, diagnose, and document communication needs and progress Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and other specialists to maximize student success Travel between three school locations as part of your weekly schedule SLPA candidates will have additional days for supervised practice Position Details and Benefits: Part-time contract position for the 2026-2027 school year (August 24, 2026 - June 10, 2027, including ESY) 7.5-hour days, 2 days per week for SLPs / 3 days per week for SLPAs Pay ranges from $40 to $52 per hour, based on experience Opportunity to work with a supportive team in a collaborative school environment If you're enthusiastic about making a real difference for students and enjoy working with a variety of age groups and needs, seize this chance for a rewarding school-based role.
