Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on elementary students as a contract-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. This position, located near Tacoma, WA, focuses on supporting young learners and helping them achieve their full potential within an engaging educational setting. In this role, you'll work a consistent 35-hour week, providing high-quality occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students from September through mid-June. Training will be held in August, with dates to be determined. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with educators, developing and implementing individualized plans, and monitoring progress to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain by start date) Demonstrated expertise in pediatric, school-based, or home health OT settings Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation Experience working with elementary-aged students Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for supporting diverse learners This position is not open to COTAs Key Responsibilities: Assess students' needs and develop tailored intervention plans Deliver direct OT services in both one-on-one and group formats Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and progress notes Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional insight Adapt materials and activities for maximum student participation This is your chance to leverage your expertise in occupational therapy, make a difference every day, and become an integral part of an innovative K-5 educational community.
