As a Curriculum & Instruction Specialist , you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective implemention of curriculum, instruction, and assessment stregies, leading directly to meaningful student achievement. Serving as the primary educional compliance expert, you will uphold all relevant laws, regulions, and internal standards reled to educional services.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing proactive guidance, supervision, and targeted support to teachers on ste standards, curriculum alignment, educional assessments, classroom management systems, and evidence-based instructional stregies through ongoing training, coaching, and constructive feedback.
  • Overseeing and managing comprehensive academic assessment processes, including formal and informal assessments, to consistently monitor student progress and achievement.
  • Delivering effective training and ongoing support to teachers on leveraging student da for informed instructional decisions, emphasizing evidence-based stregies to accelere student growth and achievement.
  • Leading and ensuring high-quality implemention of intervention programs and curricula, particularly direct instruction stregies in reading, writing, spelling, and mhemics, designed specifically for students performing below grade level.
  • Researching, evaluing, and recommending evidence-based curricula aligned with ste educion requirements to enhance classroom instruction and student outcomes.
  • Supervising and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of lesson plans, student transcripts, grading systems, report cards, and progress reports for academic programs.
  • Guiding instructional teams in developing stregic long-term and short-term classroom goals, identifying key priorities, and setting clear timelines for implemention (e.g., START Checklist, Classroom Prototype).
  • Conducting regular quality assurance audits student, staff, classroom, and site levels, and providing insightful recommendions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assessing instructional staff training needs and designing comprehensive professional development plans, including training sessions, ongoing coaching, consistent follow-up, and targeted feedback.
  • Providing targeted training and support to educion coordinors, teachers, and reled service providers on creing and implementing high-quality Individual Educion Plans (IEPs) th align closely with student assessments and present performance levels.
  • Assisting in the creion of detailed transition plans to facilite students moving to less restrictive environments.
  • Supporting the scheduling and tending of IEP meetings, while maintaining clear, consistent communicion with district partners.
  • Conducting classroom observions, providing curriculum support, and participing actively in student assessments.
  • Coordining the administrion of annual ste assessments and standardized testing procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional and effective communicion channels with parents, caregivers, and district personnel, serving as a liaison when required, and always representing the organizion positively.
  • Participing collaborively with the program director in educional budget planning, ensuring efficient use and careful monitoring of curricular expenditures.
  • Performing additional duties and special projects as assigned to support program success and continuous organizional improvement.

Qualificions Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in educion or a closely reled field of study.
  • Master's degree or higher in educion, special educion or a closely reled field of study highly preferred.
  • Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a AL ste special educion instruction credential.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certificion in company approved crisis management training.
  • Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in the development, assessment, and management of curriculum, content areas and instruction.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in special educion services and compliance, particularly for students with severe learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other reled disabilities.
  • Prior experience and highly skilled in working with students with individualized educion plans (IEP's).
  • Proven success in developing and implementing effective educion plans for students with diverse needs th help move them toward realistic goals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ste and/or nional educion content standards.
  • Highly skilled in building relionships with students, parents, teachers and community and/or business partners.
  • Demonstred ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining organizion and tention to detail.
  • Advanced oral and written communicion, organizion, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, dabase entry and basic office equipment.
