A healthcare organization is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) in New York, NY to support a pediatric student population with brain injuries and other brain-based disorders. This role works within a multidisciplinary team to assess needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic services in an educational setting. About the Opportunity: Shift: Day shift Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Setting: In-person Responsibilities: Evaluate students using standardized clinical assessment tools and update treatment plans as needed Develop, implement, and modify individualized occupational therapy interventions based on student needs and progress Prepare and update Individualized Education Programs and related documentation in a timely manner Collaborate with teachers, therapists, paraprofessionals, nurses, and families to coordinate student care Document services, progress notes, reports, and other required student-care forms accurately and on time Qualifications: Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy Valid New York State Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in New York State Experience working with pediatric populations ages 5 to 23 Ability to work with students with brain-based disorders, neurological involvement, or medically fragile needs Desired Skills: Experience in Pediatric Occupational Therapy Exposure to traumatic brain injury, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or medically fragile populations Experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration Research experience or NDT training
