School Based Physical Therapist (PT), in person, full time

RCM Healthcare is looking for a full time Physical Therapist to provide educationally based services to K-7th grade school students at a charter school for competitive sports and academics in Springfield, OH 45505. Immediate interviews!.

The job of a physical therapist is to diagnose and service students with disabilities whose education is adversely affected by their motor skills and abilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide a physical therapy evaluation as part of the multifactored evaluation.
2. Assists in the development of the individualized education program
3. Provides therapy which will:
4. Improve, develop or restore functions impaired or lost through illness, injury or deprivation.
5. Improve ability to perform tasks for independent functioning if functions are impaired or lost: and
6. Prevent, through early intervention, initial and further impairment or loss of function.
7. Improve or maintain strength and/or range of motion and encourage motor and reflex development.
8. Functions as a consultant with the childs parent and school personnel
9. Directs and supervises the activities of the physical therapy assistant
10. Instructs parents and teachers in the use of techniques and equipment
11. Recommends adaptive equipment to aid students in performing ambulation physical exercise, communication skills, wheelchair activities, and proper positioning REQUIREMENTS
    Ohio PT board license
    Ohio Department of Education Certificate

    School Year - Will follow Academic Calendar
    
    Compensation
    $50/hour - based on experience
