JOB GOAL:
Ensure Technology Department is efficient and provides the highest level of support to staff and student body.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in K-12 technology leadership, systems administration, network operations, instructional technology, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology management.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, incident response planning, disaster recovery, ransomware preparedness, and data privacy compliance.
- Experience leading cloud-based ecosystems including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, identity management, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience managing network servers and end-user accounts through Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Experience in technology project planning and impleme ntation of medium to large-scale technology solutions, including project management, budgeting, E-Rate coordination, and vendor management.
- Strong skills in interpersonal relations and ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of school staff and students required.
- Supervision experience in IT related to network and systems administration
- Ability to maintain confidential documents and information.
- Experience in Network Design and implementation.
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Must pass a background clearance.
- Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT : 261 Days; 12 Months
COMPENSATION : Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position
BENEFITS : As per QCUSD District policy
REPORTS TO : Chief Operating Officer
EVALUATION : Initial evaluation to be completed no later than ninety (90) days after the first day of work; thereafter, annually by supervisor.
HOURS: 40 hours per week and may require longer hours - Monday-Friday
CLASSIFICATION : Exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Ensure the creation, maintenance, and renewal of adequate network infrastructure, connectivity, bandwidth, hardware, software, communications, media and technical support to meet academic and business needs for effective and efficient operations.
- Proactively identify and meet the technology needs of the district
- Leads, directs and/or oversees strategic and tactical technology operations and services including, but not limited to: educational and instructional technology, data and voice networks, servers, data storage, data and network operations, cloud services, websites and communication tools, student information system, system security, business continuity and disaster recovery, systems administration, devices and vendor/contracts management.
- Ensure compliance with district policies, legal requirements, cybersecurity standards, and technology best practices.
- Oversees current technology assets, develops and implements technology project initiatives as well as ensures the daily management of the District's operating systems, network, internet connectivity, and related databases.
- Work a flexible schedule to accomplish the duties of the position.
- Work throughout all district sites efficiently.
- Work with all staff to meet the technology needs within established district procedures.
- Prioritize repair and support needs, and to accomplish the work in a timely manner.
- Communicate easily, clearly, concisely and diplomatically with district staff about repair analysis, procedures, schedules and outcomes.
- Communicate about hardware/software problems in non-technical terms as needed.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with school district records and technology data.
- Configure and install new hardware and related equipment and software.
- Service, troubleshoot, maintain and repair district computers, related equipment, and district networks in a skillful manner.
- Manage IT support staff.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
