Organization Information Floyd County Schools serves over 6300 students dailyattending 16 different schools. We have 4 highs schools, 3 middle schools, 3primary through grade 8 schools, 5 primary through grade 5 schools, and a districtalternative program. According to the 2010 - 2011 NCLB report, 11 of15 schools met 100 percent of their NCLB target goals for 2011. A structured courseof study exists from Head Start through Advanced Placement. An instructional focuswith high expectations maintains a progressive perspective in providing effectiveeducational programs for Floyd County students. Our Family Resource YouthService Centers assist families in overcoming non-cognitive learning barriers.Pre-school and Headstart centers serve children at each of the elementary schoolsand there is also a Career & Technical Center that benefits high school students.
