About AdmissionSight
AdmissionSight (www.admissionsight.com) is one of the world's leading Ivy League admissions consulting firms. Our students are admitted to the Ivy League and Top 10 universities at roughly 10x the national average, with 75% gaining admission to an Ivy League or Top 10 school and 98% admitted to one of their top choices. We've helped students earn offers from Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, MIT, Columbia, UPenn, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, and Oxford, and our work has been featured by U.S. News & World Report, the Associated Press, and Yahoo.
Founded and led by CEO Eric Eng (BA, Princeton), AdmissionSight is a premium, boutique consultancy built on a simple belief: helping high school students get into their dream schools while receiving an incredible academic and entrepreneurial learning experience along the way. We deliver high-touch, one-on-one mentorship across the full admissions journey, from application strategy and essay editing to extracurricular positioning, science research, passion projects, and competition coaching.
As a Senior Admissions Consultant, you are the strategic lead for your students and the embodiment of AdmissionSight's results-driven philosophy. You build long-term, personalized roadmaps that bridge where a student is today and the university they aspire to attend, then guide them through every milestone of execution. You'll work closely together with students and families to help them navigate the college admissions process.
Key Responsibilities
Build individualized admissions strategies for each student and execute them in coordination with the wider AdmissionSight team of editors, mentors, and tutors.
Maintain expert command of high school course planning, extracurricular and leadership development, summer program applications, and standardized testing (SAT/ACT/AP) to make sharp, timely recommendations.
Mentor students on passion project development and/or research projects to secure published research papers
Use deep knowledge of selective universities to help students and parents build balanced, best-fit school lists that maximize admission outcomes.
Lead regular consulting sessions with students, documenting notes and action items and sharing them with relevant stakeholders.
Keep families informed and supported between formal sessions through email and other channels.
Guide students on essay strategy and narrative, helping them craft compelling personal statements and supplemental essays that convey a distinctive story and hook.
Support initial consultations and contribute to the continuous improvement of AdmissionSight's programs and resources.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's degree from a top university; degree from an Ivy League or Top 20 institution strongly preferred (candidates with strong undergraduate admissions consulting experience will also be considered).
Demonstrated experience in US undergraduate admissions consulting at highly selective universities.
Genuine passion for mentoring high-achieving students and an appreciation for diverse backgrounds and goals.
Strong technical and technology skills to help students with their passion project development and/or research projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
