School Counselor (2026-2027 School Year)

POSITION: School Counselor
START DATE: 2026-2027 School Year
Certification: Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Elementary and Secondary School Counselor Certification
Qualifications: Clean Criminal Background Check and Child Protection Registry and TB Clearance required prior to employment.
Salary: Based on Teacher salary schedule with experience and degree. Salary Schedule can be found on the district website:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Certification in Elementary & Secondary School Counseling
• Clean Criminal Background Check, TB Test, and Child Protection Registry Clearance must be completed prior to start of employment

Primary Duties:

• Applicants must demonstrate proficiency and experience in the following:
  • May register students new to the school and orient them to school procedures and the school's varied opportunities for learning.
  • Assists students and families with school-related needs.
  • Maintains student records and protects their confidentiality as directed.
  • Confers with parents whenever necessary.
  • Provides counseling support.
  • Conducts small group instruction for counseling modules.
  • Provides community resources to students and their families.
  • Utilizes the district software programs to support student's academic schedules and learning needs.
  • Other related duties as may be required
