School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Garland, Texas

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Valid state license to practice as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience providing services to school-aged children preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to IEP development

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting students specific needs
• Document student progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to generalize strategies across settings
• Provide direct therapy and remediation in both group and individual formats
• Stay current with evidence-based practices and continuing education for ongoing professional growth
