This contract, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) is based onsite at a single school near Maple Valley, WA, where youll play a vital role supporting students with developmental disabilities and communication challenges.
Youll work collaboratively as part of an engaged IEP team, providing direct intervention, assessments, and thoughtful recommendations. Your expertise will help students participate more fully in the classroom and reach their individualized goals, ensuring they have the tools and support necessary to thrive.
Qualifications & Experience Wanted:
- Valid Washington SLP license
- Open to SLPs holding a CCC or those completing their CFY
- ESA Certification required
- Experience supporting school-aged children with developmental disabilities and communication disorders preferred
- Passion for collaborative, student-centered practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite speech-language therapy to students
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and timely assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily instruction
- Develop and monitor IEP goals, keeping the team informed with ongoing progress reports
- Contribute expertise during IEP meetings and team consultations
- Offer guidance and resources to classroom staff to support generalization of skills
