Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active and valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, though strong Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience in a school setting with pediatric populations is highly valued
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs
  • Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student development and ensure continuity of care
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student services
  • Educate school staff and families on strategies to support communication development
  • Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based speech therapy
