A contract opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist or Diagnostician to support students for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite position begins July 29, 2026, and concludes May 21, 2027, with a 32-hour work week. Selected candidates will perform essential tasks, including initial evaluations, re-evaluations, andif credentialed as a School Psychologistprovide counseling to students. The specific campus assignment will be determined prior to the start date.
Those credentialed as School Psychologists will receive $92 per hour, while Diagnosticians will earn $87 per hour.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Texas licensure/certification as a School Psychologist or Educational Diagnostician is required
- Experience conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations in a school setting
- Strong collaborative skills to partner with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled at interpreting data and making recommendations to support student learning and well-being
- Ability to work onsite and adapt across diverse school environments
- Previous counseling experience (for School Psychologists only) is an advantage
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely and thorough evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with district and state standards
- Document findings, complete required reports, and ensure compliance with special education procedures
- Participate in eligibility, ARD/IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with school personnel and families to develop individualized educational supports
- For School Psychologists: Provide counseling services and crisis intervention as necessary
