    JOB TITLE: Occupational Therapist - Temporary - Short Term Assignmnet

    PAY SCALE: Based on long term substitute rate

    LOCATION: District

    EMPLOYMENT TERM: February 2025 - June 5, 2025

    REPORTS TO: Associate Superintendent of Student Services

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

    • Monitors and complies with all education laws, rules, regulations.
    • Helps ensure that district policies and practices support non-biased assessment and programming.
    • Provides recommendations that facilitate student participation in appropriate learning activities.
    • Helps the student/family understand how services relate to the educational program.
    • Ability to create and maintain all records required in a timely and completely accurate manner.
    • Serves as a resource to classroom teachers and other educational professionals.
    • Individuals with active certification in CPI, knowledge of restorative practice, and training in DEI practices are encouraged to apply.

    Additional Duties
    Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Applicant must hold active LARA Certification, Occupational Therapy License.

    Equipment
    Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

    Travel Requirements
    Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

    Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
    - Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
    - Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
    - Ability to organize and coordinate work.
    - Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
    - Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
    - Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

    Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
    Works in standard office and school building environments.
