Position Summary:
Undergraduate Studies at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a full-time coordinator to support the development, launch, and ongoing operations of a new study group academic support program designed to foster student success in key courses related to the institutions priorities. Reporting to the associate director, this position provides experience in program management, staff training, educational assessment, higher education leadership, and learning center management. This position will be physically located in the Science Learning Center (SLC), a highly interactive, student-focused learning center, and will have auxiliary responsibilities in the day-to-day management of the SLC. This is a great entry-level administrative opportunity for recent graduates who are interested in helping students succeed academically. Applicants should be interested in working with undergraduate students in a fast-paced environment that values excellent customer service, collaboration, and professional growth.
Summary of responsibilities include:
Coordinate all operations related to the new study group academic support program, including but not limited to study group leader training and supervision, data collection, scheduling, marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
Assist the associate director with program development, course selection, and program evaluation for the study group program.
Assist the associate director with program assessment, including data entry and analysis to measure student learning outcomes and student sense of belonging.
Leverage the Study Buddy function in EAB Navigate to inform study group program implementation and create opportunities for unstructured study across campus.
Utilize information through FAU progress reporting, mid-term grades, and other early alerts to target students for study support or related interventions.
Assist with the recruitment, selection, evaluation, and on-going training of student staff for all academic support programs, with an emphasis on supporting the study group program.
Support relationship management with course faculty and other key stakeholders.
Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing plan.
Support the day-to-day operations of the SLC, including supporting student tutors and special initiatives.
Additional assistance related to the departments entire portfolio of academic support programs as required (such as scheduling space on campus; basic data entry and analysis; creating flyers or copies; collaborating with various departments to provide support; etc.)
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to supervise student staff and work in a highly collaborative work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Excellent customer service, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to become adept in existing and emerging educational and instructional technologies
