Position Title Extended School Year Speech Language Pathologist (1 position)

Location East Elementary School & Hingham Middle School

Start Date July 1, 2025 - August 14, 2025 (No Programming on July 4th)

Terms of Employment

The hours of employment are Monday through Thursday, 9 AM-2 PM.

The position will communicate between East and Hingham Middle School Extended School Year Program to meet student's needs in both programs.

The total rate is $3,452, including the program hours and preparation time daily. A required 2-hour meeting before the program begins will also be held.

Job Description

The ESY SLP provides direct instruction to the assigned students according to the student's Individualized Education Plan.

Qualifications

Master's Degree or higher Valid Massachusetts License as Speech Language Pathologist Requisite licensure as defined by DESE, is required Current authorization to work in the United States Excellent written and oral communication Knowledge of accommodations and modifications to support the implementation of EAL and math curriculum content for students with disabilities Ability to use technology effectively Current knowledge of implementation of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for the age span

Responsibilities

Provide students with intensive instruction in individual, small groups, and in-class lessons to meet the goals and objectives as outlined in students' Individualized Educational Plans. Assist ESY staff in developing and implementing curriculum accommodations/modifications and appropriate classroom strategies as determined by the Team process and subsequent IEP formulation. Create a developmentally appropriate, child-centered environment that establishes positive student behavioral expectations conducive to all learners' needs. Provide an equitable and inclusive learning environment that is responsive to all learners and their families. Partner with families to create a strong two-way communication. Maintain appropriate records and provide timely reports. Collaborate and communicate with all colleagues to positively contribute to the school culture. Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas, and techniques for students with communication disorders. Completes other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Student Services.
