Position Overview:
A school district in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a qualified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with communication needs across elementary, middle, and high school settings. This full-time, on-site role focuses on providing high-quality therapy, collaborating with educators, and helping students overcome speech and language challenges that affect their learning and development.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments to identify areas of need

• Design and implement therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

• Deliver individualized and small-group speech therapy sessions

• Track progress and maintain detailed, compliant documentation

• Attend IEP and team meetings to support educational planning

• Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies

• Ensure services align with district, state, and federal regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Valid Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology license (LBESPA)

• Must hold an active Louisiana SLP teaching license

• Familiarity with IEP procedures, goal setting, and documentation standards

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Prior experience in a school setting is a plus
