Hiring: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Full-Time School-Based Role Rockford, IL

A public school district in Rockford, Illinois is hiring a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, onsite role. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students who require speech and language support to succeed both academically and socially.

Position Overview:
Youll assess student needs, provide direct therapy, and collaborate with educators and families to help students meet communication goals in the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a diverse student population in a structured school setting.

Key Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations

• Deliver therapy aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Maintain accurate records of services and student progress

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote success

• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in plan development

• Promote communication strategies that carry over into daily school life

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Valid Illinois teaching license for SLPs (issued by ISBE)

• ASHA CCC-SLP credential

• Previous school-based experience preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
