School Speech-Language Pathologist Join Newark's Student Services Team

Newark Public Schools is currently hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K12 students through targeted communication therapy. Job Description:
The SLP will deliver school-based services that address a wide range of speech and language needs. Youll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student progress in both academic and social environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer speech and language assessments and complete evaluation reports

• Provide direct therapy based on individualized IEP goals

• Work with students on articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, and pragmatics

• Participate in IEP meetings and offer clinical recommendations

• Collaborate with school teams and families to monitor student progress

• Maintain therapy logs and progress documentation

Minimum Requirements:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Active New Jersey SLP License

• NJDOE Educational Services Certificate with SLS Endorsement

• ASHA CCC preferred

• Previous school or pediatric experience a plus

• Comfortable working across diverse student populations

Role Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, regular school hours

• Caseload: K12 (varies by school site)
