An opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based settings to support K-12 students in Silverdale, WA. This contract position spans the full school year and focuses on enhancing student participation and independence through therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom
- Provide direct therapy services that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials to practice in Washington State
- Experience working with children in K-12 educational environments
- Strong knowledge of school therapy regulations and special education processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
