A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide comprehensive therapy services to elementary students (grades K-5) within a school setting in the Granite City, IL area. This contract assignment spans the full school year, delivering 6-hour days from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services to elementary-aged children.
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Participate in paid team meetings and complete administrative duties.
- Maintain compliance with district guidelines and documentation standards.
- Potential supervision responsibilities depending on candidate status.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
- Experience working with pediatric populations and delivering teletherapy services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy models and caseload management.
- Ability to work effectively within an itinerant service model if assigned.
- Proficiency in IEP documentation and willingness to engage in district-provided training.
