Pediatric School Speech Therapist Belzoni, Mississippi

A contract opportunity is available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide comprehensive services for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade in a school setting near Belzoni, MS. This position is ideal for SLP professionals with experience in healthcare, pediatrics, teletherapy, and school environments, including those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

Location: Belzoni, MS
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Duration: Immediate start through June 2023

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for diverse student populations
• Deliver direct therapy services tailored to varied mild to moderate general and special education needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize teletherapy techniques as appropriate to maximize student engagement and progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reporting per school and state regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current MS Speech-Language Pathologist license required
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
• Experience in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology
• Familiarity with assessment tools, therapy strategies, and IEP development for mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate professionally with educators and administrators
• Comfort with teletherapy service delivery considered an asset
