Dearborn City Schools is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy and assessment services that help students develop essential communication skills for learning and social success. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative, student-focused team.
Position Overview:
As an SLP, you will evaluate student needs, design individualized therapy plans, and deliver interventions to address a range of speech and language challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and prepare clear reports
Develop and implement therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
Address articulation, fluency, expressive/receptive language, and pragmatic communication
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
Attend IEP meetings and contribute recommendations and updates
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active Michigan SLP License
Michigan Department of Education Certification for School-Based SLPs
ASHA CCC strongly preferred
School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Job Details:
Type: Full-time, onsite
Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours
Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
