Job Description
A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Citrus Heights, CA. This contract position spans the entire school year and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development and success of children across diverse grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and implement interventions for students with varying needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student development and educational goals
- Document therapy progress and adjust treatments as necessary to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning processes
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong understanding of K-12 developmental milestones and educational accommodations
- Ability to engage with children, motivate them, and build trust to facilitate successful therapy
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with school personnel and families
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and compliance with educational regulations
