A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for the 2024-2025 school year to provide in-person services at a school campus in Lancaster, CA. This role is ideal for a certified SLP with experience in pediatric settings, including working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The position requires dedication to supporting speech and language development in a school environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality therapy tailored to individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, diagnostics, and individualized treatment plans for students.
- Work closely with students diagnosed with Autism, adapting therapy to meet their unique communication needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Support and supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent credential.
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, preferably within school settings.
- Comfort and proficiency working with students on the Autism spectrum.
- Ability to provide in-person therapy exclusively.
- CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) candidates with appropriate supervision are welcome.
- Familiarity or experience collaborating with SLPAs is a plus.
