A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY) opportunity is available for the 2025/2026 school year in a K-8 Montessori school located in Racine, WI. This contract role offers a specialized caseload of 34 students, with approximately one-third utilizing AAC devices. The school serves a total of 140 students and embraces a unique, child-centered, hands-on Montessori teaching approach that emphasizes individualized learning.
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive speech and language therapy tailored to the needs of each student, collaborating with educators to support communication strategies within the classroom, and utilizing evidence-based interventions. You will work from a dedicated on-site Speech Therapy room and contribute to the development of each childs communication skills in alignment with Montessori principles.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with AAC devices and therapy techniques
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to complement a Montessori, child-led learning environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
