Job Description
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinician is needed to provide specialized support to elementary-aged students in a high school setting in Aurora, IL. This contract position runs from August 18, 2025, through May 29, 2026, with orientation on August 4 and 5. The role offers a stable schedule with 37.5 hours per week, with part-time consideration available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students' participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills
- Modify tasks or adapt the environment to meet individual student needs
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations
- Develop and monitor IEP objectives and accommodations
- Collaborate effectively with parents and colleagues to discuss student progress and strategies for support
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt to student needs and dynamic environments
