Public schools across the New Orleans, LA Metro Area are seeking an experienced and credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to support students' communication development across PreK12th grade. This role is ideal for a collaborative, student-centered clinician who thrives in school-based environments and is committed to improving educational outcomes through high-quality speech and language services. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in accordance with federal and state guidelines
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students
- Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including progress reports, evaluation results, and Medicaid billing (if applicable)
- Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a communication expert for school teams
- Provide training or guidance to staff and families on speech/language strategies
- Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Active Louisiana SLP License (or eligibility to obtain) through the Louisiana Board of Examiners for SLPs and Audiologists
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and therapy best practices in educational settings
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Clear, effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and flexibly adapt to varying school environments
- Commitment to student success and inclusive education
- Pay range $45$55 per hour, based on experience
