We are seeking a passionate and culturally responsive Bilingual (English-Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year in the Northwest Chicago Metro area . This full-time school-based position serves a diverse student population and plays a critical role in supporting the communication and language development of English Language Learners (ELLs). Key Responsibilities: Conduct bilingual (English-Spanish) speech-language screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Illinois state guidelines.
Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans aligned with student needs.
Deliver direct and consultative services in both individual and group settings across multiple school sites.
Collaborate closely with teachers, ELL/bilingual staff, school psychologists, administrators, and families to promote academic and communication success.
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team evaluations, and problem-solving teams.
Maintain timely and compliant documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (if applicable).
Provide linguistic and cultural insight to support equitable assessment and intervention practices.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement in Illinois (or eligibility by start date).
Demonstrated fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Experience working with bilingual/multilingual learners in school settings preferred.
Strong knowledge of culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment and intervention strategies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with dynamic assessment and alternative language proficiency measures.
Experience working with diverse communities and multilingual families.
Understanding of language difference vs. disorder in dual-language learners.
