A contract opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLP is available for the 20252026 school year in Elgin, IL. This full-time or part-time role supports elementary-age students in a high school setting, focusing on facilitating student participation in classroom activities through targeted therapy and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities to enhance classroom participation
- Modify tasks or environments to meet individual student needs
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate
- Prepare detailed, insightful reports based on assessments and observations
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations
- Collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals to communicate student progress and needs
Qualifications:
- Holds or qualifies for an Illinois state license as an SLP
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and problem-solving aptitude to address diverse student needs
Schedule and Location:
- 37.5 hours per week, with part-time considered
- Orientation on August 4 and 5, 2025
- First day with students on August 18, 2025
- Contract end date May 29, 2026
