Speech and Language Pathologist in Elgin, IL

A contract opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLP is available for the 20252026 school year in Elgin, IL. This full-time or part-time role supports elementary-age students in a high school setting, focusing on facilitating student participation in classroom activities through targeted therapy and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in developing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities to enhance classroom participation
• Modify tasks or environments to meet individual student needs
• Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate
• Prepare detailed, insightful reports based on assessments and observations
• Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations
• Collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals to communicate student progress and needs

Qualifications:

• Holds or qualifies for an Illinois state license as an SLP
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility and problem-solving aptitude to address diverse student needs

Schedule and Location:

• 37.5 hours per week, with part-time considered
• Orientation on August 4 and 5, 2025
• First day with students on August 18, 2025
• Contract end date May 29, 2026
• Located in Elgin, Illinois
