Pediatric School Speech Therapist Virginia Beach, Virginia

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a K-12 educational setting in Virginia Beach, VA. This contract position is set to begin on August 8, 2025, and conclude on June 1, 2026, providing consistent hours of 37.5 per week across 5 days.

Key Qualifications and Certifications:

• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Valid Virginia State License for Speech-Language Pathology (as of 2018)
• Experience working with pediatric populations and within educational environments
• Eligibility to fulfill Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) requirements is a plus
• Background in healthcare settings related to speech therapy is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support speech and language development
• Track and document student progress in compliance with state and federal education guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required
