Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available supporting a K-12 school community in New York, NY, for a maternity leave contract. This role involves providing comprehensive OT services to a caseload of 34 students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The contract runs from September 3, 2025, through November 1, 2025, with an optional transitional overlap period starting August 15, 2025, to collaborate with the outgoing OT for a smooth handoff. Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring tailored to individual student needs Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to develop and implement effective student-centered plans Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and regulatory guidelines Support students across the full K-12 spectrum with a focus on functional skills that enhance educational participation Qualifications and Desired Experience: Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy Valid New York state OT license Experience in school-based occupational therapy is a strong advantage Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, to better serve diverse student populations Benefits and Perks: Competitive compensation package Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday Transition period for overlap and knowledge transfer with outgoing therapist Reimbursement for mileage and continuing education units Guaranteed hours for both direct and indirect services This contract position offers an excellent chance to make a meaningful impact during a key transition period for the school's therapy services.
