Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Belen, NM

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with ASHA certification is needed for an elementary school setting in Belen, NM. This is a contract position for the 2024-2025 school year, focusing on supporting pediatric students with speech and language needs. Responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language therapy to an elementary caseload of approximately 52 students. Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication goals. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and ASHA standards. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities. Qualifications: Current ASHA-certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence). Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in a school-based environment. Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in children. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage a caseload and work onsite full-time (35 hours per week). Location and Schedule: Position is located onsite in Belen, NM. Full-time, 35 hours per week. Contract role for the duration of the school year. Start Date: August 1st.
