Occupational Therapist School Setting in Minneapolis, MN

An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services to support elementary students in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time contract position extends throughout the upcoming school year, providing essential therapeutic interventions to help young learners improve their functional skills and succeed in the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students functional goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate therapy strategies into classroom settings.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide professional recommendations and ongoing support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with current credentials to practice in Minnesota.
• Experience delivering occupational therapy services in elementary school settings.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy assessment and intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary educational teams.
• Comfort with contract work and flexibility across the school year.
