Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate is sought for an in-person position serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract role spans the upcoming school year, with new teacher orientation scheduled for August 14th and 15th, and student interaction beginning August 26th. The position is located in Fort Washington, MD, and requires a commitment of 35 hours per week. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver targeted speech-language therapy addressing areas such as assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language delays
Conduct diagnostic and evaluation assessments to inform individualized treatment
Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on student evaluations and observations
Provide therapy to students with moderate to severe disabilities ranging in age from 2 to 22 years
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives
Collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and peers to monitor student progress and identify ongoing support needs Qualifications and Experience:
Speech-Language Pathologist - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or School SLP certification
Comfort and experience working with diverse student populations including those with moderate to severe disabilities
Strong communication skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams and families
Ability to manage caseload and deliver quality clinical outcomes in an educational setting This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student development through personalized therapy interventions within a supportive school environment.
