School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (Early Childhood) Location: Aurora, CO 80011 (single-site placement) Weekly Hours: 37.5 billable hours / Monday - Friday Staff Schedule: 8:15 AM - 4:15 PM (students attend Mon-Thu; Fridays reserved for planning & paperwork) Shift: Structure Day shift (5 7.5 hours) Alternate internal schedules available (e.g., 7:30-3:30 or 8:00-4:00) Contract: Length 40 weeks (2025-2026 school year) Rate: $65/HR Position Summary Join an early-childhood team (ages 3-5) providing comprehensive speech-language services within a public-school setting. This role focuses on assessment, IEP development, and direct/consultative therapy for preschool scholars in an inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct speech-language evaluations and write compliant reports. Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Deliver group and individual therapy aligned with state and district standards. Collaborate with teachers, related-service staff, and families. Maintain accurate service logs, Medicaid billing (if applicable), and progress notes. Use non-student Fridays for paperwork, planning, and team meetings. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, professional development, and family conferences. Required Credentials ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) - required. Colorado State SLP License - active or in-process. Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License - active or pending. Preferred Experience 5 + years of school-based SLP practice (higher bill rate considered). Familiarity with IDEA compliance, early-childhood development, and play-based therapy approaches.
