Job Description
Summary
We're seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in speech-language pathology, state licensure, and excels in individualized care planning. You'll work with a diverse population, maintain detailed records, collaborate with care teams, and educate patients and families throughout the therapy process.
What You'll Do
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and therapy goals.
Perform routine screenings and assessments to detect impairments and establish baseline functionality.
Maintain detailed and compliant clinical documentation including progress notes, care plans, and outcome measures.
Collaborate with patients' families, educators, and healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
Educate patients and caregivers on speech-related conditions, therapeutic techniques, and at-home strategies.
Prepare and contribute to IEPs and related documentation when working with school-age populations.
Track patient progress, adjust care plans accordingly, and deliver regular status updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active and valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain.
Experience in educational, clinical, or rehabilitative settings preferred.
Strong clinical knowledge of speech and language disorders, their etiology, and evidence-based interventions.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
Familiarity with healthcare documentation systems and patient data entry.
Compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable developing IEPs.
