Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school setting in a rural area of Kincheloe, MI. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse caseload primarily consisting of elementary students. The role begins with training starting August 18th, and the academic year kicks off on September 2nd; however, the director offers flexibility regarding the start date to accommodate your needs. This position involves a 37.5-hour workweek with a caseload of approximately 45-50 students. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and therapy services to students ranging in age from early childhood through high school Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student services and progress Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities as required Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, preferably within healthcare, schools, or teletherapy settings Completion or active status in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred Ability to manage a caseload in a rural school environment and provide high-quality direct services Strong organizational and communication skills Location: Kincheloe, Michiganserving a rural community with several openings and the opportunity to work with a preferred caseload Benefits include a supportive work environment with flexibility on start date and caseload assignments, allowing for a balanced professional experience.
