Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist

Kahler Middle School

I. Qualifications:

• Master's degree with teaching certificate in the area of Communication Disorders
• ASHA CCC with IPLA license and ability to supervise an SLPA
• Experience working with students with disabilities-school experience preferred
• Must have an understanding of state and federal regulations serving individuals with disabilities (i.e. Article VII, IDEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the ADA, etc.)

II. Primary Functions:

• Implement the goals, objectives and requirements of each individualized education program and utilize the methodology that best fits the student's needs.
• Regularly assess performance and collaborate closely with general and special education colleagues, along with relevant administrators and parents.
• Evaluation of students to determine eligibility for services.
• Supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.

Building Administrator and Director of Student Services

IV. Terms of Employment:

1 day per week
