Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Chicago, IL, supporting a preschool caseload as a leave replacement. This contract assignment is onsite and runs from August 25, 2025, through around Thanksgiving, with a possibility of extending through the full school year. Key Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy services to preschool students within the school setting Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans appropriate for early childhood communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress Participate in team meetings and facilitate communication among multidisciplinary professionals Qualifications and Experience: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) for Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience working with a preschool or early childhood caseload preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work onsite full-time (37.5 hours per week) Location: Chicago, IL - Elementary school setting Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday This role offers the opportunity to provide critical support services during a staff leave period, with the potential for an extended contract through the academic year.
