This position offers a full-time opportunity to provide speech-language therapy services within a K-12 school setting in Baldwinsville, NY. The role spans a full school year contract, with one opening for the full year and another covering a maternity leave from September through December. The position involves working approximately 7.25 hours per day, totaling 36.25 hours per week, with itinerant assignments and paid travel across multiple schools as determined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students across kindergarten through 12th grade, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Utilize caseload models to manage and prioritize student therapy needs effectively.
- Participate in indirect administrative hours and attend paid team meetings to collaborate with educators and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with district policies and maintain accurate documentation within designated IEP systems.
- Provide services in dedicated therapy spaces available within the district.
- Engage in Zoom interviews as part of the hiring process, with prompt decision-making expected within 24-48 hours.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare or school settings.
- Ability to provide teletherapy is an asset; however, the current contract prioritizes in-person services.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and IEP systems.
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites with paid travel time.
